Satu Mare (pronounced [ˈsatu ˈmare] ; Hungarian: Szatmárnémeti [sɒtmaːrneːmɛti]; German: Sathmar; Yiddish: סאטמאר Satmar or סאַטמער Satmer) is a city in Romania with a population of 91,520 (2021). It is the capital of Satu Mare County as well as the centre of the Satu Mare metropolitan area.
