Torres Vedras (European Portuguese: [ˈtoʁɨʒ ˈvɛðɾɐʃ] ) is a medium-sized municipality and city in the West area of the Oeste e Vale do Tejo region of Portugal, and in historical Estremadura province, located approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of the national and district capital, Lisbon.
