Alta (Norwegian; pronounced [ˈɑ̂ɫtɑ] ), Áltá (Northern Sami), or Alattio (Kven) is a town in Alta Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The town is the administrative centre of the municipality and the major commercial centre in the western part of the county of Finnmark.
