Limoges ( lih-MOHZH, US also lee-, French: [limɔʒ] ; Occitan: Lemòtges, locally Limòtges [liˈmɔdzei̯]) is a city and commune, and the prefecture of the Haute-Vienne department in west-central France. It was the administrative capital of the former Limousin region.
