Dieppe (French pronunciation: [djɛp]; Norman: Dgieppe; prob. from Old English dēōp or Old Norse djúpr 'deep') is a coastal commune in the Seine-Maritime department, Normandy, northern France. Dieppe is a seaport on the English Channel at the mouth of the river Arques.
