A city, up close

Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest church spire in Britain and houses one of the four surviving original copies of Magna Carta. The cathedral close around it is the largest in England, and the city's grid of medieval streets, largely unchanged since it was laid out in the 13th century, lies a short drive from Stonehenge, one of the most visited prehistoric sites in the world.
