Prostějov (Czech pronunciation: [ˈproscɛjof] ; German: Proßnitz) is a city in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 43,000 inhabitants. It is located in the Upper Morava Valley on the Romže River. The city is historically known for its fashion industry.
